Aspen Bark Pattern 1993

I was on a photography workshop with the late John Fielder in September 1993 at Rocky Mtn. National Park when we stopped to photograph the beautiful aspen tree bark patterns. The pattern is primarily caused by elk and deer rubbing their antlers against the soft bark of an aspen tree. Photo © copyright by Gary Silvey.
