Virgo Alongside the Ice Sheet
North of Arctic Circle Svalbard
It was thrilling to disembark the ship and experience walking on "fast Ice" sheet to photograph from that viewpoint. The ice was thoroughly tested for safety (thickness, etc) before photographers enjoyed the experience. Pretty special. March 2026. Photo © copyright by Gary Silvey.
