Beautiful, Rugged Point with Moon
North of Arctic Circle Svalbard
A beautiful view of the rugged Svalbard land with the moon high in the sky. This far north, the moon goes over the horizon for a very short period of time each day. When the voyage started the moon was in a halfmoon phrase but was nearly a full moon at end. March 2026. Photo © copyright by Gary Silvey.
