Dawn Among Wild Horses

An incredible morning with my son photographing wild horses. There was no one around and the horses slowly grazed towards us before daybreak and after. Minutes after this photo, the alpha male slowly walked between us and the horses seen, stood with his body as a shield and female and young colts walked behind him to reach new grass. It was like watching a school crossing guard at work. A morning, I will never forget. May 13, 2019. Photo © copyright by Gary Silvey.
